Michelle Sciberras - Independent Practitioner

Counselling Psychologist and Supervisor

Michelle is a registered psychologist and a Board Approved supervisor, with an endorsement in Counselling Psychology. She has over 15 years’ experience working with children, adolescents, parents and care givers, families, and adults across the private, not- for-profit and public sectors.

Working in numerous roles including counsellor, case manager and psychologist Michelle has extensive experience working with various presentations and complex needs including:

Over her career Michelle has had the opportunities to work alongside various stake holders to enhance outcomes for her clients. This has included the Department of Health and Human Services (Victoria), Corrections Victoria, Work Safe (Victoria), Transport Accidents Commission (TAC), schools / education institutions, support workers and other health professionals. Her professional experience has provided her opportunity to understand the importance of supportive supervision, effective communication and boundaries, risk assessment, ethical decision making and accountability.

In 2017 Michelle established her own private practice and is now the principal psychologist and practice owner at Relate Treatment Group based in Melbourne Victoria. Michelle is eager to support provisional psychologists as they prepare for full registration as a psychologist in Australia. With a firm belief in the importance of practitioner self care and reflective practice her aim of supervision is to enhance supervisees confidence, insight into their psychological practice and development of their clinical skills.
