Forensic Psychologist and Supervisor
Laura aims to support supervisees by increasing their knowledge of the discipline. Laura wants to support supervisees to develop their skills and support to gain confidence in their practice. Laura has experience working in adult and child forensic mental health and acute mental health as well as in general interventions and court report writing/risk assessment in private practice. Laura focuses in supervision developing supervisee skills in building rapport, conducting mental state examinations, diagnosis, and formulation skills.
Laura knows how important these skills are to psychological practice. Laura enjoys supporting supervisees in growing their management of ethical principles through practice issues.
Laura has ten years experience in adult and youth public forensic and acute mental health services, engaging in individual therapy, group therapy, mental health assessment, risk assessment and diagnosis. Laura has experience working in the private sector in individual mental health treatment, criminogenic needs intervention, risk assessment and completing pre-sentence reports.
